Recount fever has spread to the state of Nevada with reports that Independent candidate Roque “Rocky” De La Fuente has filed for a recount of the presidential election.
The Las Vegas Sun reports that De La Fuente is asking for recounts in Florida and Nevada “to create a nationwide awareness of the vulnerability of our election system” and to ensure that “your vote counts for the candidate for whom it is cast.”
The recount was first reported by Nevada political journalist Jon Ralston.
In the last week Green Party candidate Jill Stein has called for recounts in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.
