Florida man injured in multi-vehicle accident on I-81 in Franklin County

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Pa – A Florida man is seriously injured in an accident on Interstate 81 in Franklin County on Saturday, December 3rd.  Around 4:15 in the afternoon, the driver of a semi-truck headed Northbound, side-swept a parked a semi-truck and lost control. The truck then went through the median, hit a guide rail and eventually came to a stop between the the Southbound lane and Exit 17.

A passenger in the big-rig, 25 year old Casey Verbanac of Florida was air lifted to Hershey Medical Center, for suspected internal injuries. The status of his injuries is unknown. The drivers of both semis were not injured in crash.

State police are still investigating.
