LOWER PAXTON TOWNSHIP, DAUPHIN COUNTY, PA. -- It was a Sunday full of spirit and joy for several children in Harrisburg.

Colonial Park Mall hosted a "Sensitive Santa" event. Children with special needs and their families were apart of a sensory friendly environment to see and experience Santa Claus, which included dimmed lighting and a quieter atmosphere.

The event means a lot to many local families. "I was tearing up earlier," General Manager at Colonial Park Mall, Mary Williams said. "It means everything to us. It really does, and I think anyone that's a parent and experiences it; it really touches your heart. It's so wonderful to see them, and they feel so comfortable in this environment."
