HARRISBURG, Pa.– Bethesda Mission is in need of 5 lb. – 7 lb. hams, fresh produce and canned food to help provide a traditional Christmas dinner to hungry men, women, and children. On Sunday, December 25th, Christmas day, beginning at 4:30 p.m. and continuing until 5:30 p.m., a Christmas dinner will be offered to anyone who needs a meal or has nowhere else to go to celebrate the Christmas season!
Chuck Wingate, executive director of the Mission states, “We are planning on serving Christmas dinner to 200 needy and hungry men, women and children. Any additional hams that are not used immediately will be frozen and will help to replenish our food needs for the coming months.”
Those wishing to help us provide a hot, nutritious meal to those in need may bring their hams to Bethesda Mission, located at 611 Reily Street, Harrisburg at any time. For further information, please contact Ken Ross at 717-257-4442, ext. 223 from 7:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
