HARRISBURG, Pa.–Pennsylvania Capitol Police seized 2 1/2 pounds of marijuana during a traffic stop in Harrisburg on Sunday.
The driver, identified as Terrance K. Miller Jr., 32, of Harrisburg, was stopped near the intersection of 7th and Herr Streets after committing a traffic violation. According to police, Miller had three outstanding warrants for his arrest, as well as a suspended driver’s license for a DUI.
As Miller exited the vehicle, police smelled marijuana on him and coming from the vehicle. A search of the vehicle uncovered approximately 2 1/2 pounds of marijuana in three opened vacuum seal bags, a digital pocket scale, empty sandwich bags containing marijuana residue and $400 in cash.
Miller is charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled or counterfeit substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, operating a vehicle with a suspended license and failure to obey traffic controls/signals. He was taken to Dauphin County Prison on a probation violation while awaiting his preliminary hearing on these new charges.
