EAST LAMPETER TOWNSHIP, LANCASTER COUNTY, PA. -- Creating holiday miracles for the less fortunate is the mission of one local organization.

Holiday Hope is spreading some hope this holiday season by giving gifts to families who need them most. The Lancaster-based non-profit was started 8 years ago by a woman who says her mother always helped one family each Christmas who couldn't afford to buy gifts.

"It's an awesome feeling," Cheri Henry, President and Founder of Holiday Hope said. "We know that it's really stressful for the parents sometimes, when they know that Christmas is going to be challenging, and we just love to see the happy feelings of the children and the parents."

This year, they were able to help about 130 families with food clothing and gifts.
