CAMP HILL, Pa. — Camp Hill School District says the social media threat posted on the app “AfterSchool” appears to be a copycat post, similar to graffiti on a rest room wall at Cedar Cliff High School.

West Shore SD spokesman Ryan Argot would not comment on the message in that graffiti, but did confirm there was an increased police presence at the school today.

Camp Hill issued the following notice on the district’s website:

Important Notice

This morning a threat was posted on social media using the app called “AfterSchool.” A Camp Hill HS student reported it to a teacher. It was then brought to Principal Ziegler’s attention. The Camp Hill police were notified and we will have police presence in the High School/Middle School building. The threat appears to be a “copycat” post, similar to one experienced at Cedar Cliff High School yesterday. Lower Allen and CH Police are continuing to investigate. We are operating on normal school schedule. Please talk with your student this evening about the appropriate use of social media, specifically, the app called “AfterSchool.”
