An unexpected visitor showed up at a York residence Thursday evening.

Jimmy Avalos, a neighbor of 10 Jean Lo Way near Springettsburyg Park, said he heard a noise coming from next door. When he went to find out what happened, he discovered a deer had broken into their house.

Avalos said both Springettsbury Township Police and Northern Regional Police responded to the incident. The deer was safely removed from the house, which left behind a mess, he said. The deer was trapped in the sunroom, where it was difficult for all to witness the amount of blood it was losing, Avalos said.

Nobody was hurt, however, there was significant property damage done.
