WEST MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP, York County, Pa.-- There are advances in science every day.

One of the most debated ways to make advances has been the use and research of stem cells. The research involves the development, usage, and destruction of human embryos.

However, a medical center in York County is using stem cells donated from the amniotic sacs in Cesarean childbirth, to help its patients. The cells are helping heal injuries and prevent the need for some surgeries, included knee and hip replacements.

The entire process has left many people with questions. Today on FOX43 Morning News, Dr. Kevin Owens from Stem Cell Professionals in York stopped by with all the answers.
