Coroner now called to the scene of a water rescue in York County

PEACH BOTTOM TWP., Pa. - Officials say the York County Coroner has now been called to the scene of a water rescue in Peach Bottom Township.

Crews say a man was walking along an embankment near the Calpine Power Plant, on  the 1500 block of Atom Road just after 3:30 A.M. Friday, when he fell down into a body of water with ice.

As of now, the body has not been found, and the victim has not been identified. Company officials are reviewing a staff roster to identify him.

Crews from Harrisburg, Lancaster and Baltimore, Maryland are helping with the search and recovery efforts.
