Man with heroin tried to steal 19 DVDs from Carlisle Giant

CARLISLE, Pa. —  A 22-year-old  man tried to steal 19 DVDs from Giant in Carlisle on Jan. 14, Carlisle Police Department reported.

Christopher Harrison,  of 303 N. Fayette St., Apt. 2, in Shippensburg, was apprehended by Giant employees. They said they saw Harrison trying to steal the DVDs, and three beverages. The police report explained employees said he allegedly didn’t pay before leaving the store.

Harrison was placed under arrest. Police officers said he told them he had a syringe containing heroin in his possession. He was wearing a hooded sweatshirt.

Police searched Harrison, when officers said they found six empty heroin packets.

Harrison was taken to Cumberland County Prison, which is where he was processed on charges of retail theft, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
