TYRONE TWP., Pa. -- State police and the Adams County District Attorney's office continue to investigate a deadly shooting late Sunday night.

48-year-old Tracy Williams was shot to death outside his home on the 800 block of East Berlin Road before midnight Sunday. Little information has been released on the incident, and both the State Police and district attorney's office declined FOX43's requests for on-camera interviews.

Most neighbors also declined to talk, but those who did described the scene and what it was like on the night of the shooting.

"Then I see some officers coming, walking down coming over the top of the driveway there with weapons hanging, so I knew something was serious," neighbor Kim Byers said. "At 3:30, I went back out and then I seen them taking pictures outside of the entrance of the home, so apparently that's where someone got shot."

Neighbors said Williams lived in the home for about two years and mostly kept to himself. They say most residents in the area tend to be private, and no trespassing signs are prevalent in front of most homes.

District Attorney Brian Sinnett told FOX43 the shooter is known to investigators, but would not identify nor give any clues as to a motive, including whether the shooting was a result of self-defense or a domestic situation. The shooter has not been taken into custody, Sinnett said.

Officials would not provide a timetable as to when more information in connection with the incident would be released.
