YORK COUNTY, Pa. – No injuries were reported after a light aircraft made an emergency landing just south of Glen Road. The aircraft landed in the area of Sticks Road and Mummert Road in Codorus Township just before 7 o’clock Thursday evening.

Craig McDonald, pilot and owner of the single engine Cessna 162 aircraft was alone and flying from the Lancaster Airport to Carroll County Regional Airport in Westminster, Maryland.  The aircraft, fairly new, built in 2011 and certified in 2013, lost power and McDonald declared an emergency and set down in a field. He says he will tie down the aircraft where it is for the night.

The National Transportion Safety Board(NTSB) will investigate why the aircraft lost power.
