FRANKLIN COUNTY, Pa.– One person is dead after a late Monday night motorcycle crash.
Kevin Knight, 40, of Mercersburg perished in the crash.
The crash occurred around 11:15 p.m. in the 1500 block of Buchanan Trail West near Stoney Batter Road in Peters Township.
Knight was attempting to negotiate a left, downhill curve in the roadway when he lost control of his 1998 Honda motorcycle.
Knight attempted to brake heavily, but struck a guard rail and flew from the motorcycle.
He was pronounced dead at the scene despite wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
