STATE COLLEGE, CENTRE COUNTY, Pa - Penn State held its 15th annual Lift for Life on Saturday in State College. The yearly event put on by Uplifting Athletes raises money to fight rare diseases.
Hundreds of fans turned out to watch the Nittany Lions flip tires, bench press, dead lift and battle in a tug of war. The only score that mattered at the end of the day was the $94,000 that was raised.
For the players this is a great event not only because of the good deed, but getting to be up close with the fans.
