LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa.– An Ephrata man was injured after crashing into a truck this morning while he was riding his bicycle.
Nevin Shirk, 27, crashed into a vehicle while riding his bicycle east on Route 322 at an approximate speed of 10 mph around 6:15 a.m.
An ’08 Ford Truck was exiting a private driveway when Shirk collided with it.
Shirk was taken to Ephrata Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
It was determined that Shirk did not have front white lighting and was wearing dark clothing.
Witness statements indicate that darkness were a contributing factor to the crash.

PREVIOUSLY: Police responded to the scene of a bicyclist struck in Clay Township.
The incident occurred sometime after 5:30 a.m. near W. Main St. and Wissler Road.
There are no roads closed and no word on any injuries at this time.
