One man dead after Wednesday night crash on Route 322

DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. — UPDATE: A man is dead after a Wednesday night crash in Reed Township.

The crash occurred as the man was driving his 2014 Porsche eastbound on Route 322 and lost control on the wet roadway.

The vehicle crossed into the westbound lane into the path of a 2004 Ford SUV, which struck the rear passenger side of the Porsche.

Despite wearing his seatbelt, the man suffered fatal injury as a result of the crash, and the westbound lanes of Route 322 were closed for several hours.

PREVIOUSLY: One person is dead following a fatal crash in Reed Township.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, the two-vehicle accident occurred on Route 322 westbound in front of the Pilot Truck Stop.

The crash occurred at 8:45 p.m.

An investigation by state troopers is underway.
