School avoidance is a sickness all its own

YORK COUNTY, Pa.-- Some children will fake sick in order to not go to school.

That "sickness" can be attributed to a number of factors, including bullying, anxiety or other external pressures.

School avoidance is a term used by some to describe when a child fakes sick in order to not go to school to be away from these pressures.

Today on FOX43 Morning News, Dr. Sean Campbell of WellSpan Pediatric Medicine - Joppa Road is stopping by the set to offer more on school avoidance.
