WESTMORELAND COUNTY, Pa. — A $40,000 reward is being offered for the identity and arrest of a man who police say killed New Kensington Police Officer Brian Shaw on Friday night.
WPXI was told by law enforcement sources that Officer Shaw was shot during a traffic stop.
Police say they have located the vehicle believed to be involved in the fatal shooting. A search for the suspect is underway in nearby neighborhoods within a few miles of the scene.
Reports for shots fired starting coming in to Westmoreland County dispatchers around 8:15 p.m.
