Snow causes messy road conditions for morning commute

WEST HEMPFIELD TOWNSHIP, LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. -- The snow tapered off early Thursday morning across Central Pennsylvania leaving behind messy road conditions for the early morning commute.

Many of the back roads in the region were snow covered and turned icy during the early morning hours.

PennDOT reminds drivers to drive slow if they see an icy spot and leave an increased following distance between vehicles.
