DAUPHIN COUNTY — UPDATE: A Halifax man is dead and two people were injured after a Thursday night crash.
Marvin Frye, 56, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
On April 26 around 8:55 p.m., Frye was driving northbound on Route 147 in Reed Township when he crossed into the southbound lane of traffic for an unknown reason.
Frye’s vehicle struck a 56-year-old Halifax woman’s vehicle head on, causing major damage to both vehicles.
A 56-year-old woman was taken to the hospital by a family member for further evaluation, while a passenger of the vehicle was injured as well.
The road was closed for approximately three hours after the crash.
PREVIOUSLY: Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a fatal crash that involved a motorcycle and a sedan.
The accident occurred on SR-147 in the area of Mountain Road in Reed Township, according to police.
One person is deceased, police add.
