A damp, muggy and cloudy start to summer, then conditions clear out and humidity levels fall by afternoon

Thursday temperatures reach the lower 80s once some sun break out.

NICE START TO SUMMER: Thursday, the first official day of summer, brings appropriate and very pleasant weather. There’s a bump in the road to start for the morning, with leftover showers. They should be gone by about 8 or 9 A.M. Temperatures begin in the 60s with muggy conditions. Then, the clouds start to clear, and there’s plenty of sunshine for the afternoon. The humidity levels fall too as the clouds clear. Temperatures are in the lower to middle 80s for the afternoon. The overnight period is partly clear and quiet. Expect temperatures in the 60s. Friday should be dry to start, with mostly cloudy skies. Expect isolated afternoon showers. Temperatures are cooler, in the lower to middle 70s.

 

 

Keep the umbrella close by for much of the weekend.

WEEKEND OUTLOOK: The weekend outlook appears unsettled for the region, particularly for the start. Saturday brings the best chance for showers and some thunderstorms. Temperatures are in the middle to upper 70s. Sunday looks drier overall, with partly sunny skies. There’s continued chances for a couple thunderstorms. A good chunk of the day looks dry, before the chances increase for the latter part of the afternoon. Highs are in the lower to middle 80s, perhaps a touch higher depending on whether or not sunshine can sneak into the region.

 

 

WEEKEND OUTLOOK: Monday is drier with a stray shower chance for the morning. Then, clouds give way to plenty of sunshine. Temperatures are in the middle 80s. Tuesday brings a return to plenty of sunshine. Expect highs to be a touch cooler, with readings in the upper 70s to lower 80s. Wednesday starts to see more warming. It turns muggy, with temperatures in the lower to middle 80s.
