LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa.– Northern Lancaster County Police have reported responses to over 20 calls involving the new fireworks law.
Crews responded to a total of 23 calls during the July 4th holiday period in Clay, Penn, and Warwick Townships.
The new fireworks law in Pennsylvania allows consumer-grade fireworks, like roman candles and bottle rockets, to be set off.
However, concerns about noise, zoning, and damage to homes created a call for service impact on many area departments.
Besides the multitude of calls, no injuries were reported and no charges were filed.
