Police investigating Hanover Borough shooting

YORK COUNTY, Pa.– UPDATE: Police are investigating a shooting.

The incident occurred around 4:15 a.m. on Thursday, July 26 in the first block of Fulton Street.

Upon arrival, police found a 22-year-old man injured in the roadway from a gunshot wound.

Police detained a second man during the course of the investigation, who is currently a person of interest in this incident.

Anyone that may have witnessed the shooting or anyone having information about it is asked to contact the Hanover Borough Police Department at 717-637-5575 or through York County 911.

PREVIOUSLY: Police on the scene of a reported shooting.

According to emergency dispatch, police responded to E. Walnut St. in Hanover Borough around 4:20 a.m. on Thursday morning for a reported shooting.

The amount of extent of any injuries is unknown at this time, but dispatch tells us that the coroner was not called to the scene.
