UPDATE: Two injured in food truck explosion in Lancaster County

EAST HEMPFIELD TOWNSHIP, LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa — A father and son have severe burns after their food truck exploded in a hotel parking lot on Sunday afternoon.

According to East Hempfield Township Police, say the food truck was parked in the back parking lot of the Comfort Inn and Suites on Champ Boulevard. The truck was there overnight.

The explosion happened just after 12:15 p.m. The father and son were taken to Lancaster General Hospital, from there they were airlifted to Crozer Burn Center.

Police don’t know what the explosion.

This is still under investigation.
