LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa.– A New Holland man is facing charges after allegedly severely bruising a child when “punishing” it.

William Taylor, 31, is facing aggravated assault and endangering the welfare of a child, among other related charges.

On September 5, a Children and Youth Services representative was dispatched to Kinderhaus Daycare int eh 400 block of Racnk Road in New Holland.

Upon arrival, the representative spoke with employees of the daycare that stated they observed a red mark on a juvenile that attends the daycare.

When asked about the mark, the juvenile said that he had been spanked by Taylor, and that it hurt for him to sit down.

Employees began to check the victim, and found severe bruises on the child’s buttocks, leading employees to contact Lancaster County Children and Youth Services.

Police were informed of the situation involving the 5-year-old victim.

Police investigated and found that the bruises came from an incident where Taylor said he had punished the juvenile.

Now, Taylor is facing charges.
