HARRISBURG, Dauphin County, Pa. -- Friday night saw a heavyweight battle between Central Dauphin and Manheim Township at Central Dauphin.
Defense played a factor in the game, keeping the score relatively low. In the first quarter, Central Dauphin quarterback Noah Hoffman threw it deep to wide receiver Nicky Chimienti as he tried to convert on a third down, but Manheim Township free safety Cameron Horst came away with a key pass defensed, forcing Central Dauphin to punt.
Later in the contest, Central Dauphin quarterback Noah Hoffman, with the ball on the 29-yard line, connected with wide receiver Nicky Chimienti for a touchdown. Chimienti hauled in the pass and ran it all the wway to the endzone, putting the first points of the game on the board.
In the second quarter, Central Dauphin got in on the turnover action and Malachi Bowman came away with an errant pass by Manheim Township quarterback Harrison Kirk.
Manheim Township comes away with the impressive road victory. They win 22-12.
