FRANKLIN COUNTY, Pa.– UPDATE: A fire engine overturned while responding to a fire on Sunday night, sending the driver to the hospital.

On September 9 around 11:50 p.m., responded Path Valley Road near Wineman Road in Metal Township for a reported crash involving a Metal Township Fire Engine.

It was determined that the engine went off the road and overturned.

The driver was taken to Meritus Hospital for treatment.

PREVIOUSLY: Crews responded to the scene of an overnight crash that has left a road closed.

Authorities say the crash occurred on Path Valley Road and Wineman Road in Metal Township around midnight.

There is no word on if any injuries were suffered in the incident.

As of 4:45 a.m., all lanes of Path Valley Road remain closed between Burnt Cabins Road and Back Road.
