YORK COUNTY — York County has extended its disaster declaration to October 7, according to Mark Walters, the county’s communications director.
The declaration helps the county better equip itself to handle disasters.
“(It) lets us deploy manpower, equipment and resources without going through the normal bidding process,” Walters said.
