EAST LAMPETER TOWNSHIP, LANCASTER COUNTY — A Ronks woman was struck by a car at the 2500 block of Siegrist Road in East Lampeter Township, according to police.
The pedestrian, Thelma Rineer, was hit while traveling along the road.
The driver of the vehicle, Craig Gomez, of Ronks, struck Rineer shortly before 5:30 a.m. on Saturday, according to police.
The Lancaster County Coroners office responded to the scene, where the woman was pronounced dead.
An autopsy is scheduled for Monday morning.
The crash caused parts of the roadway near Lynwood Road and Eastbrook Road to close for about five hours.
