DE TORE’S DIY: Own your next tailgate with beer can chicken.

Harry from Olivia’s joins Jackie De Tore for this week’s DIY.



2 Tbsp Old Bay

1 Tbsp granulated garlic

1 tsp Chili Powder

1 tsp Smoked Paprika

1 Tbsp Black pepper

1 Tbsp Kosher Salt

1/2 tsp cumin

2 tsp freshly chopped rosemary

1 tsp parsley

1/2 cup Brown Sugar


1/2 cup Softened butter

1 Tbsp chicken base

2 Tbsp freshly chopped garlic

1 Tbsp Chipotle puree

2 Tbsp lime zest

  1. Pre-heat oven or grill to 400 degrees.
  2.  Mix dry ingredients and then add to paste.
  3. Rub paste ingredients all over Chicken. Don’t forget inside the chicken and between the joints.
  4. Carefully slide chicken over 1/2 full can of beer
  5. Place oven or grill and close lid. Let cook for about an hour or until internal temperature of the fat part of the thigh reaches 170 degrees.
