Today on FOX43 News First at Four, we’re following up on a viral Facebook post that purports to show spotted hot dogs at Ben Franklin Elementary School in Harrisburg. The district’s food service provider, Southwest Foodservice Excellence, investigated the claims with a quality assurance team and says it found no on-site issues with food quality. We’re reaching out to the city’s Office of Health to see if any violations have been reported, and you can expect more on this story First at Four.

Coming up on FOX43 News First at Four, we’ll find out more about the hearings on Harrisburg’s Act 47 status. Act 47 is a state program that helps financially troubled cities in Pennsylvania fix their finances. The city of Harrisburg filed for bankruptcy in 2011 and has been operating under Act 47 for seven years. Multiple government committees are meeting today to discuss letting Harrisburg finally exit Act 47 status. You can expect more on this story coming up First at Four.
