HSFF 2018 week 7 Carlisle at Cumberland Valley highlights

MECHANICSBURG, Cumberland County, Pa. -- At Mechanicsburg, Cumberland Valley hosted Carlisle at Chapman Field on Friday night.

The Thundering Herd  got the scoring started in the first quarter. Carlisle scored on a run by freshman Wyatt Vioral. The extra point put Carlisle up 7-0 early on.

Cumberland Valley responded later in the first quarter with a rushing touchdown of its own. On fourth and inches at the goal line, Connor Madison carried the ball into the end zone. Cumberland Valley missed a chance to tie on the extra point, but still managed to get on the board, making the score 7-6.

Ben Nix opened up the Thunder Herd's lead in the second quarter, making it 14-6, Carlisle.

Cumberland Valley took control of the game from that point on. The Eagles put up 29 unanswered points as the game went on. Cumberland Valley earned an elusive first win of the season, 35-14.
