DOVER, York County, Pa. -- Gettysburg crossed county lines and traveled to Dover to take on the Eagles in a Friday night football showdown.

On the very first play of the game, William Warren caught a dump off pass and weaved his way downfield for for six yards. But the drive turned sour when Dover's Alec Shaffer forced a fumble that was recovered by the Eagles recover.

But the Warriors defense would respond in a huge way. Juan Neri scored the games first points on a safety. The sack put the Warriors up 2-0 early on.

Dover bounced back though, when Bryce Miller ran up the gut for a 16-yard touchdown. The first touchdown of the game went to Dover, putting them up 7-2.

In the second quarter, the Eagles looked to maintain the lead, and they threatened to score with the ball in the red zone. The drive was cut short, however, when Devin McIntosh forced a fumble. Gettysburg's Cory Bixler recovered the loose ball.

Dover still held the lead at half, 7-2. After a touchdown that gave Gettysburg the lead, Ammon Robinson, reached the endzone for his second score of the half. The second score was a 19-yarder that put the Warriors up by eight, at 15-7. Gettysburg quarterback, Zach Ketterman finished the game off with a quarterback sneak into the endzone.

Gettysburg emerged with the win, 28-7.

Gettysburg head coach Matt Heiser said his team was confident heading into the game.

"The guys believed and they got it done," he said.

Robinson was just one of many Warriors that had a strong second half, as they outscored the Eagles 26-0 in the half.

"Feels great, we did it for our coach," said Robinson. "Coach really wanted a banner and we got that."

The win gave the Warriors their first division title since 2007.
