MIDDLETOWN, Dauphin County, Pa. -- Middletown hosted Palmyra in Dauphin County on Friday night.
Middletown's only blemish is an early season loss to Bishop Mcdevitt, but they entered the game against Palmyra undefeated in Mid-Penn Capital play.
Palmyra entered with aspirations of knocking off the Blue Raiders in order to share the crown.
Middletown dashed those dreams by putting up 28 points in the first quarter.
The Blue Raiders held a 42-point lead midway through the second quarter. The defense yielded just six poijts the whole game, meaning the game was well in hand before halftime for Middletown.
Palmyra scored its lone touchdown of the game in the third quarter. The Cougars quarterback Stephen Lyons rolled out to the left and connected with Sean Carter who worked his way into the endzone. The extra point was no good, however.
Middletown dominated Palmyra, 42-6.
