MANHEIM TOWNSHIP, Lancaster County, Pa. -- The defending district champs, Manheim Township, hosted Chambersburg in a 6-A quarterfinal matchup. on Friday.
The game was a close one throughout, with the Blue Streaks holding just a three point lead in the fourth quarter.
Chambersburg tries to mount a comeback, Brady Stumbaugh has a pass intercepted as he was looking downfield for Dylan Hawbaker. Matthew Mikula came away with the interception for Manheim Township. He returned it down to the three-yard line.
Manheim Township's Bryce Casey takes care of business from that point. Casey finds the endzone to extend the Blue Streaks' lead. They take a 20-10 advantage.
Chambersburg answered right away though on the ensuing kickoff. It was fielded by Chambersburg's Tyeshawn Worrell, who broke free and took it all the way to the house. Blue Streaks still up 20-17, however.
That score would be the final. Manheim Township hangs on for the victory and move into the 6-A final four.
