MYERSTOWN, Lebanon County, Pa. -- Friday night included a first round, 4-A game as Lampeter-Strasburg traveled to Elco, in Myerstown.

Despite the gross conditions in the area, the rain and mud tonight didn't seem to slow the Pioneers.

In the first quarter, with the ball at the goal line, quarterback Sean McTaggart took it in for the score himself. It was the second touchdown on the night for the Pioneers. He capped off the drive by converting the two-point conversion himself as well. The touchdown and two-point conversion put Lampeter-Strasburg up 16-0 early.

In the second quarter, the Pioneers got scores from people other than McTaggart. From the goal line, McTaggart handed the ball off to running back Alex Knapp who got into the endzone for another six points for the Pioneers. The Pioneers shut out ELCO, 37-0.

West Perry defeated West York 33-22 in the only other 4-A game on Friday night.

Lampeter-Strasburg: 37
