MIDDLETOWN, Dauphin County, Pa. -- A semifinal in 3-A took place at Middletown as they welcomed Wyomissing on Friday night.
Each team dealt with a slippery surface on the grass field, but it didn't bother the Blue Raiders.
With five seconds left in the first half, Scott Ash connected with Jose Lopez on a screen pass. After a nice cut, he zipped past about five Spartans in a tight space down the sideline. Middletown was up 21-0 at the half.
After the break, it was all still from the home team. Richie Sykes reached the endzone on a 71-yard touchdown run. Middletown is playing for another district title. The final was 41-6.
