Police identify victims in murder-suicide in Manheim Township

MANHEIM TOWNSHIP, Lancaster County, Pa.-- UPDATE (January 10): The Lancaster County Coroner's Office has identified the victims in a murder-suicide.

Coroner Dr. Stephen Diamantoni said they found that Nicole Welton, 32, shot her 11-year-old son before committing suicide.

Dr. Diamantoni said each individual suffered one gunshot wound.

The Weltons were from West Milton in Union County.

Manheim Township Police says this is an on-going investigation and did not release further details.

PREVIOUSLY: Police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide in Manheim Township, the Lancaster County Coroner's Office confirms to FOX43.

The coroner's office says the bodies of a mother and son were found at Americas Best Value Inn on Harrisburg Pike Wednesday morning with what appeared to be gunshot wounds.

The identifies of the deceased individuals have not been released.
