EPHRATA, Lancaster County, Pa. — UPDATE (1/21): Police have identified an Ephrata man who died as a result of a single-vehicle crash over the weekend.

Jaden Lee Truskey, 18, of Ephrata, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

UPDATE: Ephrata Police said that the driver of the vehicle, an 18-year old man, from Ephrata, is dead. They also said they crash happened on N. State St., near Valley View Dr.

According to police, the driver went off the road into Coover Run creek. A towing company pulled the car from the creek.

Officers did say that speed played a role in the crash, but can’t say whether drugs or alcohol did at this point. The icy road and freezing temperatures has made clearing the area more difficult for first responders.

Authorities are still investigating the cause and the road will be closed in the area for several more hours.

Previously reported: One person died in a single vehicle crash in Ephrata on Sunday.
