Video of Michigan school system announcing closure with cover of song goes viral

GENESEE COUNTY, Mich. — A school system in Michigan had some fun announcing a snow day for Tuesday.

Swartz Creek Community Schools Superintendent Ben Mainka and Principal Jim Kitchen announced the closure by singing their own version of “Hallelujah.”

The video was posted on Mainka’s YouTube page and as of 10 p.m. Tuesday, it has amassed over 449,000 views.
