DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa.– You never get a second chance to make a first impression.

Beck Malenstyn is one of the newest Hershey Bears and his new attitude debut certainly stands out by earning his teammates respect and strikes fear into his opponents .

The word is out around the AHL, don't enter into "The Den" and expect to leave unscathed. Never afraid to drop the gloves, the Hershey Bears welcome a new enforcer to the club.

"Oh no I want to follow him (Malenstyn) more because he will protect me," grins Bears defenseman Connor Hobbs, as he boards the bus for Springfield.

Malenstyn is the talk around Chocalate Town for his first thrown down in the AHL.

It was one to remember, a 20 second haymaker fest. It was great to see from any angle, and ends with a seat in the sin bin, but the young fans were entertained. So were coaches and teammates, and they loved every second.

Coach Spencer Carbery even was a little bit surprised by the outburst.

"I didn`t know he had that in him, it was pretty impressive," Carbery said.
