Phillies sign utility man Sean Rodriguez to minor league deal

PHILADELPHIA– The Phillies have added a veteran utility man.

The team has agreed to terms with IF/OF Sean Rodriguez on a minor league deal.

Rodriguez, 33, struggled in his first full season back after suffering injuries in a car accident.

He spent the 2018 season with the Pittsburgh Pirates, where he hit .197 with 5 HR’s and 19 RBI’s.

Rodriguez will be looking to take one the final bench spots in Philadelphia.
