Police: Traffic stop leads to drug arrest for Lancaster man

LANCASTER — A traffic stop led to an arrest on drug charges for a Lancaster man last week, according to Lancaster Police.

Devon Lawton, 26, of the 300 block of South Prince Street, was riding in a vehicle that was pulled over for a traffic violation on Mill Street at about 11:10 p.m. Friday night, police say.

Lawton was found to be in possession of a backpack containing 84 bags of synthetic marijuana, packaged for sale, police say. The total weight of the packages was 1.8 pounds.

Lawton was taken into custody and transported to the Lancaster Bureau of Police station. He is charged with possession with intent to deliver synthetic cannabinoids and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was committed to Lancaster County Prison on $100,000 bail.
