YORK COUNTY — The York County Coroner’s Office has released more details on the body found last Thursday in Warrington Township.

York County Coroner Pamela L. Gay has not yet identified the body, and the manner of death is pending. The body’s gender appears to be female, Gay said in a press release.

An autopsy performed Monday at Lehigh Valley Hospital confirmed the body was significantly decomposed, but no signs of trauma were found. Additional testing will be conducted with the assistance of the anthropology department at Mercyhurst University in Erie; this testing will take additional time, Gay’s office said Monday.

The body was found last Thursday at 6:19 p.m. at a property on the first block of Kralltown Road in Warrington Township. It is not known if the decedent had lived at the address, and no other individuals appeared to be living there when the body was discovered, investigators say.

The investigation is ongoing.
