Update: Tractor-trailer driver injured after vehicle overturns on Lincoln Highway

SALISBURY TOWNSHIP, Lancaster County – Speed was a factor in Saturday’s accident involving a tractor-trailer that overturned along Lincoln Highway, according to State Police.

The accident happened shortly before 2:30 p.m, Saturday at the intersection of Newport Road and Lincoln Highway.

According to State Police, the driver, 59-year-old, Timmy Zamperini, attempted to make a left turn at a high speed and lost control.

State Police say Zamperini was taken to Lancaster General Hospital to treat a severe head injury.
