Verizon has reported an outage in the Dover and Dillsburg areas of York County, according to a spokesperson for the county.
The outage is affecting calls to 911 as residents may get a busy signal.
Residents are advised to contact their local police or fire department based on their needs. Carroll Township and Northern Regional Police, along with Fire Stations 6, 9, 64, 65, 66 and EMS station 84 are manning their stations to assist those in need, the spokesperson said.
Verizon expects the outage to be fixed around 11:30 p.m.
