UPDATE (April 4, 10:00 a.m.): The coroner has identified the man who was killed as a result of Wednesday morning’s crash.

Huishan Wang, 50, of Rosemead, California, died as a result of the crash.

An autopsy is scheduled for Friday.

UPDATE, 4:30 p.m.: A single-vehicle crash killed one person and injured another on Route 222 South in Ephrata Township Wednesday morning.

The crash occurred around 9:04 a.m., at Mile Marker 41, between Mohler Church Road and the Route 322 on-ramp.

Police say a food delivery truck left the roadway and struck a tree. Emergency crews found the truck’s driver deceased and heavily entrapped in the vehicle. A passenger in the vehicle was extricated and taken to Lancaster General Hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Police have not yet identified the driver, pending notification of next of kin.

Route 222 South has been restricted to one lane around the area all day. Police estimate it will fully re-open at 7 p.m.

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa.– Crews are on the scene of a deadly crash.

The crash occurred around 9:00 a.m. on Route 222 Southbound between Mohler Church Road and the Route 322 on-ramp.

According to emergency dispatch, a box truck went off the road and crashed into a tree.

Crews are working to clear the scene, and traffic is moving slowly in the area.

There is no word on how many people have been injured at this time.
