LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa.-- Two people have been injured after a fire at Soap Stone Sawmill.
Emergency personnel was dispatched to the 300 block of Little Britain Church Road in Fulton Township before 7:30 a.m. for a report of smoke from a fire.
Two burn victims refused treatment, but there is no word on if any other injuries have been suffered or the extent of any damage yet.
Robert Fulton Fire Chief, Phillip Smith says the building is a total loss. They arrived on scene to a fully engulfed building, within two minutes of receiving the call.
It took crews about an hour in a half to get the fire completely under control. Chief Smith says due to the rural area, they had some trouble getting the necessary water supply needed to fight the fire-- nearly 10 tankers were called in bringing more water for firefighters.
Smith says they anticipate remaining on scene for quite some time to make sure all of the hot spots under the fallen structure are completely out.
