Dauphin County, Pa. – UPDATE: Two people are in the hospital after a two-vehicle crash, Saturday morning.
According to police, a tractor-trailer hit a vehicle while it attempted to merge from the right lane and into the left lane. Authorities say the tractor-trailer struck a concrete barrier. Investigators say the vehicle spun onto the middle of the highway and came to a stop across both southbound travel lanes.
Police say both the driver and passenger of the vehicle were injured and taken to Hershey Medical Center.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured.
PREVIOUS: A multi-vehicle crash has closed all lanes on I-81 southbound in West Hanover Township.
According to emergency dispatch the crash happened around 8:07 a.m.
The crash is around mile marker 76, near the Paxtonia/Linglestown exit in Dauphin County.
State police are investigating.
